There are many types of Bad End Friends, but I decided to organize and categorize them this way. Let's take a look at these classifications!
classification according to the community
alpha
The alpha category (or as I like to call them, the cursed trinity) are the original Bad End Friends who started the group and took the main character's corruption to another level. Rumor has it they're looking for a fourth member, and that there have been many, but none could reach their level. They are a must-have in any Bad End Friends story or fan art.
beta
These are the secondary Bad End Friends, who are part of the group but don't hold a candle to the trinity. They were added as the Bad End Friends fandom grew.
omega
These are the lesser-known Bad Ends that are added as a Bad End line or entertainment product is created.
classification according to the au
The possessed
when the character is possessed by an evil entity, the main villain, or by a mind-control disease.
Bipper
Bipper (a combination of the names Bill and Dipper) is the version of Dipper possessed by Bill Cipher, the antagonist and dream demon. His Bad End is that Dipper never returns to his body, and Bill takes over, controlling him and impersonating him.
Darcy
Darcy is Marcy's version of herself possessed by The Core, an entity composed of the combined minds of Amphibia's wisest amphibians. The Core was searching for a body with the most intelligent mind to possess and further its plan to rule other universes.
Possessed Hunter (helos)
Helos (a combination of the names Hunter and Belos), a former guard without magic, and Grimwalker (artificial clones of Hunter's uncle's brother), is possessed by a living fragment of his uncle (Emperor Belos) that survived the Collector's destruction. He is completely controlled by his uncle and has no control over his own body.
The Beasts
the characters who underwent a transformation that turned them into unrecognizable monsters.
Beast Wirt
Some believe BeastWirt is Wirt possessed by the Beast. Others maintain he isn't possessed by any entity and that it's only through time spent in the unknown, carrying the lamp (with his soul or his brother's) and fulfilling the Beast's bargain, that he becomes the Beast's replacement. He loses all his humanity and becomes part of the trees of Edelwood, an unrecognizable creature.
Corrupted Steven
Steven (the son of Rose Quartz, protagonist of Steven Universe and member of the Crystal Gems) is plagued by many internal struggles and difficulties controlling his powers. He ignored them and continued helping others with their problems, letting them fester. As these issues accumulated, they erupted, transforming him into a gigantic, destructive beast. His tragic end comes when he destroys his Gem friends, their leaders, and his beloved Beach City, losing all his humanity in the process.
Mewberty Star
When the Butterflys (the royal family of the mythical and magical world of Mewni) reach puberty, they transform into butterfly-like creatures obsessed with boys or their crushes. They capture these boys and encase them in cocoons like tiny flies, making them their property. Star (our protagonist from the series Star vs. the Forces of Evil) couldn't skip this stage, and when she transforms, she starts chasing after the boys at her school. Her downfall is that she could never return to normal and remains stuck in the Mewberty stage.
The Survivors
The characters who luckily survived catastrophic or apocalyptic events but were left with psychological damage or personality changes.
Mabel pity party
Some fanfics and fanarts suggest that Mabel Pines' Badend is connected to Bipper's story. When he takes over Gravity Falls on her 13th birthday, he kills all of her family and friends, making Mabel the only survivor of Weirdmageddon. She loses her sanity and goes mad, trying to be happy and celebrating her birthday every day with tears in her eyes, feeling guilty for her selfish actions.
Genocide Frisk
If we take the genocide route in Undertale, Frisk (the player) has to kill the monsters in the underground to survive. As they kill more, it becomes more addictive and makes them stronger. They even come to enjoy killing the monsters, including destroying their world and resetting it. And all for the sake of survival.
Luzura
Luzura is the result of exile and abandonment by the Boiling Isles, which drove her to madness. Her tragic end occurs in episode 19 of The Owl House: "Young Blood, Old Soul." Originally, she was meant to defeat Emperor Belos (Hunter's uncle and emperor of the Isles), but instead, the emperor defeated her and exiled her far from the Boiling Isles to a place where no one could find her, causing her to lose her sanity. Despite everything, Luzura survived as the only human in the world, but unfortunately, her friends did not.
Evils
characters who were heroes and are now antagonists.
Evil Morty
Evil Morty (Rick and Morty) is one of the few canonical Bad Ends. This Morty was the evil version of the original Morty. He killed his Rick and controlled him with a cybernetic implant in his eye.
Evil Jimmy
Evil Jimmy (from Jimmy Neutron) is an evil clone of Jimmy who wants to take over the universe.
Nega Timmy
In the series The Fairly OddParents, Timmy wishes his godparents would do the opposite of what his parents tell him. Everything was fine until his father told him to "be good," at which point he became the complete opposite, a bad version of himself. In the bad ending, his godparents are unable to reverse the wish, causing him to destroy the magical world, his home, and his parents.
Corrupted
characters who were corrupted by magical artifacts or plagues
Ice Finn
Farmworld!Finn finds the Ice King's Crown in his universe and uses it to save his family from a fire. But the crown's power and the voices in his head are stronger than the young boy, and the crown ends up corrupting his mind.
Brainwashed Max
At Camp Camp, they hire a guy named Daniel, who's secretly an occultist who wants to brainwash the kids and use them as sacrifices. Max is one of the kids who was brainwashed for trying to save his counselor. In this Bad End, Daniel sees Max's potential and teaches him the ways of his cult, making him his right-hand man.
Midnight Sparkle
Twilight is very interested in magic, especially the magic at Canterlot High. When she goes there for the Friendship Games, she sets out to investigate magic using a device that encapsulates it. When the headmistress learns about this device, she tells her to release the magic so she can win the competition, but upon releasing it, she is consumed by it and becomes Midnight Sparkle.
Deadchilds
the characters whose Badend is to die (some became ghosts or wandering souls)
Wraith Norman
Norman was a boy who suffered greatly from bullying for being odd and seeing ghosts. When his town is attacked by the undead and the vengeful ghost of a little girl, Norman, using his gifts, tries to save his home. Upon confronting the spirit, he recognizes that she is very similar to him and that they suffered almost the same things. Norman has two Badends, but we will focus on this one, in which Norman is convinced by the spirit, and she decides to kill him in order to become a vengeful specter just like her. Blinded by his bad memories and trapped in a loop of torment, just like her.
Golden Freddy (Cassidy)
Is Golden Freddy a Bad End?! Yes. Just like Cassidy (the soul possessing the Golden Freddy suit) and the children murdered by William Afton. Let's just say these children suffer a canonical Bad End. Cassidy is one of the most vengeful souls and wants revenge on William Afton by making him suffer, even in death itself.
Midscape Dipper
This Badend is connected to Bipper's and is based on Bill's true intentions toward Dipper in Journal #3. In this Badend, instead of keeping the boy's body, Bipper decides to dispose of it, making everyone believe he committed suicide by falling from the water tower. Without a body, Dipper has no choice but to wander the chaotic town as a lost soul, tormenting Bill for killing him.
